General Maintenance Schedule

 
Daily Weekly Monthly Quarterly Semiannually Annually Every Two Years Maintenance Schedule
x             General inspection – This is a visual walk-around inspection. Check both the interior and exterior of the motor home.
    x         Batteries – Inspect the water level of lead-acid batteries.
  x           Check the battery terminal connections – Tight and free of Corrosion.
    x         Apply a thin coat of grease to battery terminal connections.
            x Air dryer service.
    x         Air Tanks – Drain Air Tanks.
x             Engine Oil Level – Visual inspection. Keep at full mark on dipstick.
              Engine Oil Filter – Replace. Refer to Cummins manual.
x             Engine Coolant Level – Inspect coolant reservoir. Keep at full mark.
x             Serpintine Belt and A/C Belts – Inspect for proper tightness and ensure no cracks, frays or abnormal wear. KEEP FINGERS AWAY FROM BELTS AND ROTATING COMPONENTS TURN REAR START BOX OFF.
x             Transmission Fluid Level – Visual inspection. Keep at full on dipstick.
              Transmission Filter – Replace. Change the fluid internal filters after the first 5,000 miles, then 25,000 miles of 18 months.
    x         Hydraulic Leveling Reservoir – Perform calibration procedures for proper fluid level.
        x     Leveling Jack Legs – Keep clean and free of dirt. Lubricate using WD-40.
            x Steering Column – Inspect grease fittings at u-joints.
        x     Steering Gear – Grease using hand grease gun only.
        x     Engine Coolant Filter – Inspect SCA levels. Replace filter. Refer to Cummins manual.
            x Engine Coolant System – Drain and Flush.
x             Tire Pressure – Inspect tires for proper inflation pressures.
              Fuel Filters – Changed at every Oil Change interval.

x         x   Fuel Water Separator – Change every 12 – 18 months or 25,000 miles.
  x           Power Steering/Hydraulic Fans Reservoir – Check Oil Level. Keep at Full mark. Quarterly or 6,000 miles.
          x   Power Steering Reservoir Filter – Change Cellulose filter. Annually or 15,000 miles.
          x   King Pins and Knuckles – Steer axle – Grease using a high quality multipurpose lithium soap pressure gun lubricant designed to withstand high temperatures. Annually or every 10,000 miles.
  x           Entry Steps – Lubricate all moving parts using Kwikee Spray Lube.
          x   Driveline Universal Joints – Grease using a high quality, multi-purpose lithium soap pressure gun lubricant designed to withstand high temperatures. Annually or every 10,000 miles.
          x   Driveline Slip Yoke and Splines – Grease using a high quality multi-purpose lithium soap pressure gun lubricant designed to withstand high temperatures. Annually or every 10,000 miles.
          x   Drag Link and Center Link – Grease using a high quality multi-purpose lithium soap pressure gun lubricant designed to withstand high temperatures. Annually or every 10,000 miles.
          x   Wheel Bearing – Requires cleaning and packing. Generally Front Axle only. Annually or every 30,000 miles.
x             Tag Axle and Oil Bath Hubs – Inspect fluid level (a clean cover). Keep to full mark. Before each trip to every 5,000 miles.
          x   Tag Axle and Oil Bath Hubs – Drain and change Oil using S.A.E. 80w/90 gear oil. Annually or every 30,000 miles.
          x   Drive Axle Oil Level and Housing Breather – Inspect the lubricant oil level with fill port. Breather clean and free of dirt.
        x     Brake calipers and slack adjusters – Grease and adjust. Annually or every 30,000 miles.
              Drive Axle Oil – Change oil 3 years or 250,000 miles.
